The Black Student Union serves the purpose of organizing to represent the interests of the Black undergraduate students of UMCP. We are primarily an organization geared to communicate the particular needs and concerns of Black students to the administration and general university community, as well as to provide the university with programming and information relevant to the Black experience.

Attention Incoming Freshmen!
The Black Student Union hosts a Chill Session every Monday and Thursday during Freshmen Orientation at 10:45 pm in the Basement of St. Mary's Hall. Please stop by to meet members of the BSU and other black organizations as they answer questions about the black college experience and offer valuble advice on a variety of subjects.
If you have a question about anything or just want to meet black upperclassmen this is the program for you. Light refreshments will be served.
