The CMBs achieve its mission through a focus
on 5 areas of development:
1) Personal Development (life/transition/financial)
2) Leadership Development
3) Academic Support & Development
4) Career Development
5) Social Development/Support
The Black Student Union general body has the opportunity
to participate in the Big/Little program in the following
3 capacities:
1) Campus Mentoring Big (CMB)- Executive
Cabinet of the Big/Little Program, which is responsible
for serving as an advisor and keeping contact with assigned
Bigs/Littles pairs, collectively programming 3 social events
a semester for all Big/Little program participants, and
2) Big (Upper-classmen Mentor)- Serve as
mentor to assigned Little(s) by consistently keeping contact
with them and taking their Little(s) to at least on event
that falls under each of the 5 areas of development.
3) Little (Freshmen Mentees)- Freshmen meentees
of the program.
