Football Outlook:
Bishop McNamara has consistently been a
competitive team in the highly respected
WCAC. They have reached the playoffs in
3 of the last 4 seasons advancing to the
semifinals on 2 occassions. This year the
Mustangs look to be a contender again. Bishop
McNamara alum and current coach Bernard
Joseph is excited about his 2003 team. Although
young and inexperienced, this bunch is full
of energy and determination. The roster
boasts
between 5-7 Division 1-A / 1-AA recruits.
Players to
Watch:
Quarterback Randall Steiner
(preseason All WCAC) is a dangerous two
way threat. He can run and pass as well
as any QB around. WR/KR Darron Ellis
is an explosive leaper and precise route-runner.
He is a threat to go the distance at anytime.
Running back Ulysee Davis
is pure speed. He is a north-and-south runner
who is tough to bring down. DE/OLB Keegan
Williamson is extremely active
on defense; he has a motor that will not
quit.
Take Note:
The Mustangs will look for strong play from
a very talented group of underclassmen to
help them have success against an extremely
tough schedule.
