2003 Football Outlook:
Coach Elisha "Cadillac" Harris' Braves are looking to contend for the title in one of the most competitive districts in the country. After winning only two games in 2000 and 2001, last year's 4-6 season surprised many onlookers - as well as spoiled a few homecoming celebrations for opponents. This season, you can best believe that the Braves aren't backing down from anyone.
Players to Watch:
Pre-season All-American running back Brandon Ore has the talent to be the "Lebron James of Football." His size and speed will keep defenses' hands full. Quartback Lloyd Parker has great size and speed. If he can improve his passing ability this season, he may prove to be one of the best quarterbacks in the state. Senior FB/LB John Ford should supply some stability on offense and defense.
Take Note:
The Braves face a tough schedule this year. Opening the season against Wilson, Booker T., Lake Taylor, and then Western Branch, Indian River has the opportunity to prove themselves early.
