Football Outlook:
The Eleanor Roosevelt has long been a Maryland
state power. The Raiders look to bounce
back from a rare down season, having went
5-3 in 2002. With a roster listing at least
six potential Division-I recruits, Coach
Rick Houchens is certainly setting his goals
high this season.
Players to
Watch:
Pre-season All-American defensive end Derrick
Harvey will be a nightmare for
many offensive lines. Also, be on the look
out for George Covington
(Linebacker), and Richan Gaskins
(Athlete), both of whom are already high-recruited
prospects.
Take Note:
The Roosevelt Raiders were the Maryland
4A State Finalist in 2001, State Semi-finalist
in 2000, and 4A Champions in 1999 (the team
won both county and regional championships
all three of these years).
